    Hi,

    New to circleflip today and I appear to be having some teething troubles. Any chance of some guidance on the following:

    1. I’m having some styling issues, and I’m not sure if there is one or several underlying issues. For example, in the Admin panel, the Page Builder ‘tabs’ for Content, Layout and Media don’t appear as tabs, they appear stacked, and render in what looks like a times based font. They work, but I’m pretty sure they shouldn’t look like that, and I’m wondering if it’s a symptom of something else.

    2. The biggest styling issue is that widgets in the sidebar don’t appear to be being styled properly, if at all. Certainly the settings I have specified under Theme Options > Style Settings > Sidebar Widgets Style are not being applied, either for CF widgets or the default ones.

    2a. I’d also like to add vertical dividers (like the page builder horizontal ones) to separate the body content from the side bar – I’m assuming this is not possible right now? (Basically I’d like to add a left or right border to the sidebar box if that’s possible).

    2b. Assuming I can get the Widget styling from 2 working, I wouldn’t mind adding an underline under the widget title for the width of the widget. Any pointers on where to investigate that would be appreciated.

    3. I did have an issue with the icon box not using the right icon or colour earlier, but I just tested again and it’s now working.That could be user error but I have deactivated and re-activated the theme since.

    To install the theme, I uploaded the zip to my server, then extracted it directly to the themes folder. My upload limits are a bit low for Slider Revolution, but I’m not sure that’s relevant to my styling issues.

    Any help appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Richard

    OH, I forgot – I also had the same issue that I seem to see on the menu above as I type this 😉 where if logged in users are set not to display the WP toolbar, the sticky menu sticks to where the toolbar would have been, rather than the top of the window, and leaves a gap. I fixed that with a change to the CSS – but it would be nice for the theme to handle that in some way.

    Cheers,

    OK. I think I might have just found the cause of some of my issues by accident. My site is running entirely over SSL (using Lets Encrypt) and I just spotted some Mixed content warnings both on Page Builder load, and on actually loading the site.

    Mixed Content: The page at ‘https://www.domain.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1686&action=edit’ was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure stylesheet ‘http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway:400’. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

    Is this something that can be fixed?

    Thanks,
    R

    So, a further update, I’ve found and fixed a number of places in the theme which explicitly load http:// resources rather than https:// ones. I think there was one js one file in the Content Builder part of the framework, and several calling into Google fonts.

    So the incorrect layout of the Page Builder tabs is now fixed and they do now appear as tabs.

    I’m now seeing only one remaining error in the Browser console:
    GET https://www.domain.com/wp-content/themes/circle-flip/style.php?is_rtl=0&ver=4.4.2 fails with a 403 error

    That seems a bit odd – I’ve checked the file permissions, which are rwx r-x r-x which is the same for all the other php files in the theme folder, and the user and group are set similarly. Looking at the content of the file (albeit only briefly), it seems this could be important 😉

    OK, final problem solved. Posting the solution for other peoples reference. The problem with style.php was caused by Plesk, it has a WP security scan which can lock down wp-content and wp-includes. This can cause issues with plugins and is documented here: https://kb.plesk.com/en/127970 – once I rolled those settings back it worked.

    So in summary, I did the following:
    a) To fix the main problem of styles not being applied to widgets, I rolled back the Plesk WP security settings for wp-content and wp-include. If you see a 403 error in the browser console for style.php, and your server runs Plesk, it might be this.

    b) To fix the gap between sticky header and top of the browser when the WP toolbar is not visible for logged in users, I changed the “header.preSticky.activeSticky.adminTop” top value to 0 (originally 32px) – this is in
    “circle-flip/css/header-builder/style.css”. It would be nice if theme could have a switch for this.

    c) To remove errors relating to resources not loading when using HTTPS I changed the following to use HTTPS:
    In circle-flip/creiden-framework/content-builder/classes/class-aq-page-builder.php
    wp_register_style( ‘jquery-ui’, ‘http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.3/themes/smoothness/jquery-ui.css’ );
    $link = ‘http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=’ . preg_replace(“/ /”, “+”, $googleFonts);

    In circle-flip/css/fonts/fonts-admin.php
    $link = ‘http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=’ . preg_replace(“/ /”, “+”, $googleFonts);
    @import url(http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway:400);

    In circle-flip/css/fonts/fonts.css
    @import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway:400);

    In circle-flip/css/fonts/fonts.css~
    @import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Raleway:400);

    I think that was it. Again, I wouldn’t mind if the theme was updated with the above since it shouldn’t break non secure sites, will make life easier for secure sites, and only incur a little extra overhead.

    Cheers
