When I use the portfolio feature within a Safari browser (Desktop and Mobile) it does not load. Any thoughts on why?March 9, 2016 at 5:57 pm #7844
I tested it on my Mac and it worked fine (Screenshot below):
Would you please tell me which Safari version you are using ?

I can’t find the issue on any of my devices .. Can you guys check the browser console if there’s any error appearing ?
Sorry for any inconvenience.March 15, 2016 at 1:49 pm #7867
Dear Amr, I do not have an iMac with Safari. I just have the iPad and there I do not have a console, I think. I’m sorry.
I tried Chris’ link very often now. And what I can say is, that it works sometimes on my ipad. I had to reload the page 28 times but then it worked one time. Next time I had to reload the page e.g. 16 times and it worked one time again. Very strange. My own link doesn’t work at all with 30+ pageloads, but I have much more portfolio items on it!?
I’ve seen, that you can scroll down the full page. So the page height seems to be the same as with content but there’s just the loading animation visible. So I guess the portfolio items are loaded but the loading animation overlay doesn’t disappear for any reason.
What’s a little bit strange is, that it works on your Demo with my iPad: http://themes.creiden.com/circleflip/4-column-hover-style-6-2/
BTW: I think you should strip_tags() in the function circleflip_get_post_format_media() in file “/inc/circleflip-media.php”. Because if you have a h2-tag or other html tags in the variable $media_html (line 56), the tags could be broken, because you just return an excerpt and not the whole posts content. Take a look in Chris’ source code line 316, there’s a </p> without a previous <p> because of an opening h2-tag. I made some changes to the file circleflip-media.php because of this. Just for your information. Perhaps Chris could remove the h2 and all other formating from the posts content – just a little try 🙂March 15, 2016 at 11:17 pm #7872
Thanks Michael for your detailed suggestion 🙂
I will forward this to the dev. team so that they check the issue and the solution you provided.
I will get back to you once I get an update.

Hello Amr, as you told Chris here http://support.creiden.com/forums/topic/portfolio/ you’ve made an update to the portfolio plugin. And the excerpt seems to be without any html now. That’s fine and I want you to know, that the Safari error has gone on my iPad – it works perfect on Chris’ site with my iPad. Would be nice to here if it works for Chris too.
So I’d like to have that update too!!!! Perhaps it works on my site too. Can you send it to me? You’ve got FTP and WordPress-Admin access already, if you want to upload it by yourself.
THANKS!!!March 17, 2016 at 2:20 pm #7893
Thanks a lot for the update and I am glad that this issue was fixed 🙂
For the documentation purpose and till the update is released, here is a link for the portfolio plugin. Just deactivate Circle Flip Portfolio plugin, remove it and then install this new one.
I would recommend backing-up the current plugin just in case of any errors happening.
@chris, would you please confirm that the issue is also fixed on Mac Safari?March 20, 2016 at 11:18 am #7911
Yes, it doesn’t load on Safari Mobile, but it works on Mac Safari. I will check further what can cause this problem or how can we make a turn around.

Sorry for the delay. The portfolio page works on Mac Safari.March 31, 2016 at 10:52 am #8007
I fixed this bug on my own. Loads on safari mobile. As it works for me and Chris you may close this thread now.
